• Social interactions (likes/dislikes on drawings, view counts)

• Temporary session identifiers (for game participation)
• Generated usernames (temporary, not linked to personal identity)
• Local preferences (stored only on your device)

2.5 Technical and Usage Data

• Device preferences (theme settings, sound preferences, input mode)

• IP addresses (for anonymous view tracking and rate limiting)

3.4 Purchase and Premium Content

• Process and validate in-app purchases with Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Deliver premium content (skins, themes, features) based on platform-specific purchases
• Maintain purchase history and entitlements for each platform (iOS and Android separately)
• Restore purchases across your devices on the same platform
• Prevent unauthorized access to premium content and cross-platform purchase exploitation
• Validate that purchases are only accessible on the platform where they were made

• We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties

• Public drawings are visible to all app users by design

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Security Measures

• Encryption in transit and at rest
• Secure authentication with JWT tokens
• Row Level Security (RLS) policies in database
• Regular security audits and updates

5.2 Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active; deleted immediately upon account reset
• Drawings: Retained until you delete them; deleted immediately when removed
• Game data: Active game sessions cleaned up within 30 minutes; leaderboard data retained indefinitely
• Guest data: Session data cleaned up when session ends (no permanent storage)
• Purchase data: Purchase history retained indefinitely to maintain access to premium content; preserved during account resets; includes platform information (iOS/Android) to ensure purchases are only accessible on the correct platform
• Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized data retained for up to 2 years for service improvement

6. Your Rights and Controls

6.1 Access and Updates

• View all data associated with your account
• Update your username (once per account)
• Change your avatar at any time
• Modify theme and sound preferences

6.2 Deletion Rights

• Delete individual drawings from your profile (immediate deletion)
• Reset your account (preserves purchases, immediately deletes all other data)
• Request complete account deletion by contacting us

6.3 Data Request Process

To exercise your rights:

• Deletion: Use in-app account reset or contact us for complete deletion
• Response time: We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request

7. Guest Users

Guest users enjoy enhanced privacy:

• No personal information required or stored permanently
• Local preferences stored only on your device
• Temporary session data automatically deleted
• Full functionality without creating an account

8. Children's Privacy

Skrawl is designed to be family-friendly but is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes through the app and provide 30 days notice for material changes.
