1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Skrawl mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Skrawl is a creative drawing and multiplayer guessing game that allows users to:

• Create digital drawings using various tools and features
• Participate in multiplayer guessing games
• Share drawings in a public community feed
• Interact with other users through likes and social features
• Compete on leaderboards and track game statistics

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Types

• Authenticated Users: Register with email or Google OAuth
• Guest Users: Use the app without creating an account (limited features)

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and current information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.3 Age Requirements and Restrictions

• Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• Users under 18 should have parental permission to use the service
• One account per person
• Accounts may not be transferred or shared with others

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

You may use Skrawl to:

• Create original artwork and drawings
• Participate in multiplayer games
• Share appropriate content with the community
• Interact respectfully with other users

4.2 Prohibited Content

You may NOT create, upload, or share content that:

• Contains nudity, sexual content, or adult material
• Depicts violence, hate speech, or discriminatory content
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains personal information of others without consent
• Includes spam, advertising, or commercial content
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

4.3 Prohibited Behavior

You may NOT:

• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the service
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the service
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Engage in any form of cheating in games

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of drawings and content you create
• By sharing content publicly, you grant us a license to display, distribute, and promote it within the App
• You represent that you have the right to share all content you upload
• You are solely responsible for your content and its compliance with these Terms

5.2 Our Content

• Skrawl's software, design, features, and branding are our intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer our App
• All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved

5.3 Community Content

• Public drawings are visible to all users
• Users may like, dislike, and view public content
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Skrawl, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

7. Advertising and Monetization

7.1 Advertisement Display

Skrawl is a free-to-use application supported by advertising. By using the App, you agree that we may display advertisements within the application.

7.2 Third-Party Advertising

• We use third-party advertising networks (including Google AdMob) to serve ads
• These networks may collect device information and usage data for ad targeting
• Ad content is provided by third parties and we are not responsible for advertiser content
• You may interact with ads at your own discretion

7.3 Ad Personalization and Consent

• We may show personalized ads based on your interests and usage patterns
• You can opt out of personalized ads through the in-app consent settings
• Non-personalized ads may still be displayed if you opt out
• Your consent choices are stored and respected across app sessions

7.4 Ad-Free Experience

Premium features or subscriptions may be available to reduce or eliminate advertisements. These are optional purchases and do not affect core app functionality.

8. Game Rules and Fair Play

8.1 Multiplayer Games

• Games are designed for 2-8 players with 3 rounds
• Each player takes one turn as drawer per round
• Scoring is based on drawing quality and guessing accuracy
• Room assignments are automatic and fair

8.2 Fair Play Requirements

• No cheating, exploiting, or gaining unfair advantages
• No sharing answers or colluding with other players
• No disruptive behavior that ruins the game experience
• Respect time limits and game flow

8.3 Leaderboards

• Rankings are based on legitimate gameplay
• We may reset or adjust scores to maintain fairness
• Cheating or manipulation will result in score removal

9. In-App Purchases and Premium Content

8.1 Available Purchases

• Skins and Themes: Cosmetic customizations for your profile and app appearance
• Premium Features: Enhanced functionality and exclusive content
• Digital Content: All purchases are digital goods delivered within the app

8.2 Purchase Terms

• Payment: Processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Pricing: Displayed in your local currency; subject to change with notice
• Account Binding: Purchases are permanently tied to the email address and app store account (Apple ID/Google account) used at the time of purchase
• Multi-Device Access: Purchases are available across your devices when using the same email address and app store account
• No Transfers: Purchases cannot be transferred between different email addresses or accounts under any circumstances
• Security Validation: Our system validates purchase ownership to prevent unauthorized access and ensure only the purchaser can use their premium content

8.3 Platform-Specific Purchase Policy

• Platform Restriction: All in-app purchases are platform-specific and bound to the app store where the purchase was made
• iOS Purchases: Purchases made through Apple App Store only unlock content on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)
• Android Purchases: Purchases made through Google Play Store only unlock content on Android devices
• No Cross-Platform Transfer: Purchases cannot be transferred between iOS and Android platforms under any circumstances
• Industry Standard: This restriction is required by Apple and Google's app store policies and applies to all apps offering in-app purchases
• Multi-Device Access (Same Platform): Purchases sync across multiple devices on the same platform when using the same email address and app store account (e.g., iPhone to iPad, Android phone to Android tablet)
• User Responsibility: Users who switch between iOS and Android devices must purchase premium content separately on each platform

8.4 Purchase Restoration and Recovery

• Automatic Restoration: Purchases automatically restore when you login with the same email address and app store account on the same platform
• Manual Restoration: You can manually restore purchases through the app settings using the "Restore Purchases" feature
• Account Reset Protection: Purchases are preserved during account resets and can be recovered by logging in with the original email address on the same platform
• Ownership Validation: The system will prevent restoration if you attempt to access purchases from a different email address, account, or platform
• Platform Validation: The system validates that purchases are only restored on the platform where they were originally made

8.5 Refunds and Cancellations

• Refund Policy: All sales are final unless required by law
• App Store Refunds: Contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests
• Service Discontinuation: If we discontinue the service, we'll provide reasonable notice

8.6 Subscription Services (Future)

If we introduce subscription services:

• Subscriptions will auto-renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel anytime through your app store account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No partial refunds for unused subscription time

9. Service Availability and Modifications

9.1 Service Availability

• We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
• Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause temporary interruptions
• We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control

9.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue features
• Change these Terms with appropriate notice
• Adjust game rules or mechanics for balance and fairness
• Modify or discontinue premium content with reasonable notice

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not responsible for user-generated content or user behavior. This includes any issues with in-app purchases processed through third-party app stores.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account through the App settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your access will be revoked and your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. Your in-app purchases will remain tied to your app store account.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Before legal action, please contact us to resolve disputes informally. Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

14. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or user protection improvements. We will notify users of material changes through in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
